Must have:

• Minimum 3 years previous Supervisor/Foreman experience with a landscape company.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of proven previous Hardscape experience (paver patios, retaining walls, walkways, etc.) with a landscape company. Horticulture or Landscape Architect background is a plus.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of landscape materials, and installation techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, landscape designs, and drawings in 2D and 3D.
• Valid Drivers License.
• Able to drive large truck and pull trailer.
• Clean Background and Drug Free.

We are immediately seeking Landscape Hardscapes Foremen to manage landscape installation crews. Landscape Hardscape Foremen work directly with landscape designers and project managers to build landscapes for commercial and residential clients, to include paver patios, retaining walls, stone work, and walkways.

Qualifications:

• 3 years experience as a Landscape/Hardscape Construction Foreman or other related supervisory role .
• 2-3 years experience in landscape construction, including hardscape installation and installation of plant materials. Hardscape installation experience is required (stone walls, concrete paver walkways and patios, etc) .
• Candidates must be able to read/comprehend landscape plans, drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to operate small machinery, large trucks, and front end loaders (clean driving record is required, CDL is not).
• Comfortable driving large trucks and pulling trailers, with a general knowledge of the Columbus metro area.
• Self-motivation, problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail, and ability to take and give direction are essential. Aptitude for resolving on-site challenges efficiently.
• Ability to train and develop crew members for career development and company growth.
• Lead and motivate crew members to achieve project goals.
• Strong and effective communication skills - both verbal and written.
• Professional appearance and attitude when dealing with clients.
• Punctual, dependable, and reliable.
• Clean background.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Job responsibilities include:

• Managing and leading a crew of 2-3 landscape installers to provide clean, accurate, and timely installation of hardscape construction projects.
• Ensuring that all material for a project is prepped and loaded before heading to job sites.
• Installation of patios, walkways, steps, retaining walls and outdoor living areas using Bluestone, Travertine and other natural stone as well as clay and concrete pavers. Understanding of site prep, base material, stone and paver layout.
• Setting up grades for paving, beds and lawn area.
• Coordinating with Project Manager to determine scope of work, equipment/material needs, project budget, and layout of the installation.
• Tracking job hours and materials through appropriate paperwork.
• Operation of a variety of landscape construction equipment such as Skid Loader, Partner Saw/Grinder, Compactor, Laser Level, and Compact Mini-Excavator.
• Maintain and enforce standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, and shop areas.
• Ensure that all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, and that all crew members are in compliance with government and company standards.
• Snow removal in winter months.

General Working Conditions:

• Ability to work with hand/power tools, small engine equipment, heavy equipment, and materials.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift.
• Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis.
• Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold.
• Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work. Report to shop at 7:00AM.

Experience and/or education is a positive for this position. Salary will be based on level of expertise in the landscape field and ability to perform all aspects of the job that are required.
