Wave Planner / Warehouse Operations Coordinator
Position Summary
The Wave Planner / Warehouse Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating warehouse order fulfillment activities to ensure efficient picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders. This role works closely with warehouse operations, inventory teams, and client services to monitor wave performance, resolve operational issues, and ensure orders are completed on time according to customer service level agreements (SLAs).
The position requires strong analytical skills, experience in warehouse management systems, and the ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure efficient picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders
- Monitor wave performance and adjust plans as necessary to meet changing order demands and customer SLAs
- Resolve operational issues that may interfere with the on-time completion of orders
- Communicate and escalate issues to appropriate teams when needed
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with operations to ensure inventory is correctly allocated for outbound orders
- Ensure inventory is properly allocated to meet wave planning requirements and customer demand
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve warehouse operations and streamline workflows
- Maintain effective communication with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other departments to support smooth operations
- Work closely with Client Services to address and resolve non-workable orders
- Identify potential operational bottlenecks and proactively resolve issues before they escalate
- Serve as a point of contact for operations regarding issues with orders, systems, or materials
- Support process optimization initiatives and recommend operational improvements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong and demonstrable experience using Microsoft Excel
- Experience working with SAP or other warehouse management systems
- Experience in production or logistics operations, preferably in contract logistics
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Ability to reach, stoop, bend, and move throughout the facility
- Ability to bend, pull, push, and climb stairs
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform data entry for extended periods
- Work environment includes both a temperature-controlled office and a manufacturing/warehouse environment
