Warehouse Associate

Job Description

Provide support for daily branch operations, i.e. pull orders, and put away stock.

Essential Job Functions

1. Pull orders for customers, check orders for accuracy

2. Load and unload shipments/deliveries in a timely manner while using proper equipment

3. Prepare product for shipment via UPS, FedEx and common carrier

4. Receive shipments from UPS, FedEx and common carrier

5. Handle and process paperwork on damaged product.

6. Prepare Returns and Reclaims for shipment including appropriate paperwork

7. Break down and put away stock using proper equipment

8. Greet customers promptly and courteously by name (if known)

9. Answer telephones promptly and courteously identifying yourself and the company

10. Regular and punctual attendance

Other Job Functions

1. Assist at counter as needed

2. Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment inside and out; i.e., empty trash, sweep floors, clean bathroom(s), etc.

3. Perform related jobs as required

Skills and Physical Abilities

. Meet the following physical requirements:

· Ability to carry at least 75 pounds

· Lift boxes up to 3.6 cubic feet/105 lbs. (4-5 hours daily)

· Ability to climb ladders

· Prolonged standing, bending, stooping and stretching

. Ability to use computer system as pertains to the job

. Able to work at a fast but accurate pace and handle high volume

. Ability to get along with customers and other employees, follow directions and work under pressure

1. Overtime required during off-season and mandatory during season and inventory

2. Heated store area

3. Unheated warehouse area
