Warehouse Selector

Job Description

The Warehouse Selector, will selected, assembled, palletized, and handled cases, boxes, bags, and pallets of dry goods and related products as recognized on order forms, in the quantities defined, for delivery to customersAccurately select, assembled, palletize, and handle cases, boxes, bags, and pallets of product for delivery to Independent Operators

• Utilize forklift to transport materials and load trucks in an efficient and safe manner.
• Conducted day by day checks of powered equipment, by means of a safety checklist, to make sure such equipment is in fine working order

· Demonstrate ability to work well under pressure, organize and prioritize work assignments, and meet established deadlines

· Report damaged and out-of-stock product to manager

· Assist in the training of new personnel in order selecting.

· Shipping and Receiving/Returns

· Replenishing and Pre-Pack department

· Operate electric pallet-jack and sit-down forklifts

· Work in areas with temperatures and humidity variations based on selecting environment (Dry, Cooler, Freezer)

· Select merchandise for shipment and stack on pallet neatly by using a pallet jack or fork lift

• Use a pick sheet to find out individual items inside warehouse
• Maintain a sanitary and safe work environment
• Inform administrator of any difference in quantity or product description

· Receiving, stocking, selection, pallet consolidation, unloading and loading as scheduled

• Utilized pick labels, building pallets of products, wrapping, staging for shipping lanes
• Maintain warehouse, to ensure good housekeeping and safety
• Safe maneuvering on and around loading docks
