Warehouse Operative

Job Description

Public Metals Corporation, a company in West Babylon, in the Metal Distribution Industry, is now hiring. Looking for some universal person who can work in the warehouse filling orders and also capable to learn how to sell over the phone and emails and capable to organize paper works. The job opening is as an operations team member. The job is full-time, with a 9 hour shift from 8:00 - 5:00, Monday-Friday. Pay starts at $25 and up. Our company participates in a SIMPLE IRA plan. Vacation time and sick leave is available for workers.

The job will require you to:

• Must be able to use tape measure

• Load the material in a timely manner, to and from delivery trucks.

• Help to stock/organize material in the warehouse.

• Operate heavy machinery, like drills and bandsaws.

• Basic knowledge of computer skills.

• Learn the different types of materials stocked in the shop and their location.

• Communicate with customers in a politeful and concise manner to get them the product(s) they need.
