Warehouse / Driver Associate

KC Scaffold is looking to hire someone to add to our team. We are a small family-owned construction company that erects, rents, and sells scaffolding. The warehouse position that we are trying to fill will also be a truck driver position. Which means, even though it is a Non CDL requirement, you will be sent to get a DOT physical and drug screen that you must pass to be hired . You will be asked to obtain a Class-E driver's license endorsement per Missouri State regulation, if you do not already have one. 

Job Overview and Qualifications:

• Pulling orders of equipment in the warehouse/yard.
• Putting orders that have come back from a job site away.
• Driving our trucks with loads of equipment to and from job sites.
• Must be able to communicate with customers and our field crew on job sites.
• Regular loading and unloading from the truck of scaffolding equipment and must be able to handle the minimum weights listed. (The heaviest pieces of equipment will be a 16' 2x10 scaffold plank, approximately 65 lbs. and swing stage 50 lb. counterweights.)
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record and being able to understand basic math is required.
• Having a good sense of direction around the Metro Area and or having a phone with GPS is also a must.
• We work outside year-round. Must be able to handle our hot summers and cold winters, hydrating and dressing appropriately, will be necessary.
• Your PPE includes steel or composite toe work boots, pants and shirts with a min. 4” sleeve will also be required every day.

This is not a complete list of everything that we do. There is always something here in the warehouse or out on the job that needs to be done. We do not allow cell phones in the warehouse, and ask they only be used hands-free for maps or directions when driving in a company truck.

Our working hours are typically from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a half an hour lunch, but there are a lot of mornings we need to have a truck on the road or must show up to load or unload trucks to meet our customer’s needs. There are no guarantees that you will always get off work at 4 either. We do work the occasional Saturdays but not every Saturday.

We offer fantastic benefits available after 60 days of employment. The company pays 50% of your health insurance premium. After 6 months you earn a week’s paid vacation plus holidays, and we will match up to 4% on our 401k! Including the added bonus of weekly pay.

We need someone that is dependable, shows up on time and is willing to work with us and we will work with you. We are a small construction company growing quickly and looking for someone to help join our team.

This position will start out at $22 an hour.
