R&D Polymer Chemist Polymer Chemist Full Time We are seeking a Polymer Chemist to join our R&D organization, focused on the development of advanced coating chemistries utilizing Smart Reactors and contemporary controlled polymerization methodologies.

Responsibilities will include hands-on polymer design, synthesis, formulation, characterization, and development of coating application processes in conjunction with internal and external partners.

The organization delivers comprehensive services ranging from early coating material selection through manufacturing process transfer, supporting regulatory approval and commercialization activities.
Job Summary The selected applicant will design and synthesize novel polymers for use in medical coatings using applying advanced knowledge of organic chemistry and material science.
The role involves concept-to-clinic oversight of new biomedical materials and engagement with multiple stakeholders.
The role will also support the R&D department by support customer coating trials, managing laboratory systems, ensuring operational compliance, and promoting a strong quality culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities Duties include developing, refining, and scaling polymerization processes from laboratory scale to Kg scale production Conducting polymer characterization using techniques such as SEC/GPC, NMR, FT-IR, UV-Vis, DLS, viscosity measurement, and thermal/mechanical analytical methods Designing new testing protocols and formulation workflows Maintaining awareness of advancements in scientific literature and industrial technologies and state of the art Authoring technical reports, experimental records, and IP-related documentation Collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure program deliverables are met A strong commitment to laboratory safety, data integrity, and comprehensive documentation practices is essential Qualifications Candidates should possess a MSc.
or Ph.D.
in Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, with practical experience in polymer design, synthesis, coating development, application, and testing.
Time management and strong interpersonal skills are imperative for this role.
Experience in industrially relevant evaluation of biomedical coatings is a distinct advantage.
Candidates must demonstrate strong analytical reasoning, the ability to independently design and execute R&D work, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. xcfaprz
