Job Title: Material Handler I (Non-Medical)

Location: Pflugerville, TX (On-site)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:15 PM
Pay Rate: $17.00/hour (increase after 90 days)
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (ongoing with potential for permanent placement)

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler I to support warehouse and inventory operations in a fast-paced environment. This role involves handling materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting production and distribution processes. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to grow their experience in logistics and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Pull and prepare materials using requisitions, stock lists, and pick tickets
• Verify kit accuracy using checklists and established procedures
• Report material shortages and move completed orders to staging or distribution areas
• Process returned materials and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts and data entry
• Prepare material requests for procurement as needed
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other equipment (training provided)
• Stock, organize, and distribute materials within the warehouse and production line
• Perform audits and ensure inventory accuracy at all times

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods (8+ hours)
• Basic math and computer skills (data entry, spreadsheets, MRP systems)
• Ability to read and understand work instructions and safety guidelines
• Experience with RF scanners, forklifts, or pallet jacks is a plus
• Willingness to obtain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification (must pass with 80% or higher)

• Repetitive tasks in a fast-paced warehouse setting
• Exposure to mechanical equipment, dust, and varying temperatures
• Requires manual dexterity and attention to detail
