Senior Solutions Architect - Databricks Expert

Support key accounts and collaborate with field sales teams. Partner with Account Executives to qualify opportunities and conduct in-depth discovery sessions to explore clients' data landscapes, business goals, challenges, and technical requirements. Act as a trusted advisor, sharing insights on data strategy, governance, architecture, analytics, and the integration of Generative AI technologies. Lead technical initiatives by coordinating with industry and technical experts to gather the appropriate resources.
Solution Design and Presentation:
Create and present customized data and Generative AI solutions that meet client needs and leverage our consulting expertise. Recommend solutions for enhancing data pipelines and data warehouses utilizing Databricks and other cloud platforms. Define data ingestion strategies, BI, data visualization, and governance practices within Databricks. Showcase Generative AI use cases, including custom LLMs and AI agent frameworks. Deliver captivating technical presentations, platform demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts to varied audiences, including technical and business leaders. Translate complex technical concepts into accessible, business-relevant language.
Proposal Development:
Assist in developing detailed technical proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), and responses to RFPs/RFIs, ensuring precision and alignment with client expectations. Estimate resource requirements for data solutions based on best practices. Collaborate with delivery and operations management to ensure seamless transitions from pre-sales to execution.
Market and Industry Expertise:
Keep abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in the data field, particularly concerning Databricks. Build relationships with Databricks solution engineering teams for innovative solutions. Engage with partner organizations to enhance collaborative opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work alongside consulting delivery teams for effective project hand-offs and integration of feedback. Collaborate with marketing to create technical sales enablement materials. Coordinate with Asset and Delivery teams to understand GenAI assets and their application in pre-sales and delivery processes.
Client Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with technical stakeholders and decision-makers within client organizations, establishing trust and credibility.
This position can be performed from anywhere in the US. Required Technical and Professional Expertise Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, or consulting roles focused on data solutions, particularly with AI/ML. Strong technical skills and hands-on experience with Databricks. Solid understanding of Generative AI concepts and technologies, including LLMs and deployment practices. Expertise in Generative AI frameworks and libraries on Databricks. Experience with cloud-based GenAI services and their integration with Databricks. Knowledge in data warehousing, ETL/ELT, business intelligence tools, and various database systems. Proficient in multiple cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP); certifications in Databricks are a plus. Strong knowledge of data governance, quality, and master data management concepts. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Scala for data manipulation and AI model development. Demonstrated ability to convey complex solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Able to work independently and collaboratively.
