In the initial phase, we will design and construct a 15GWh lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility , complete with ancillary buildings and extensive site-wide infrastructure. Once completed, this facility will be one of the largest battery production sites in the UK, capable of supplying half of the country’s projected automotive battery needs by the early 2030s.

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to join our expanding commercial team and collaborate with our project controls team. Here’s what we’re looking for:

• Commercial Awareness: A recognized CM with a strong focus on profit and cash.
• Experience: Prior experience with CM or PM projects, particularly with NEC contracts.
• Management Skills: Ability to manage procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations, and subcontract works packages through to final account.
• Negotiation: Skilled in negotiating compensation events while maintaining strong client relationships.
• Problem-Solving: Capable of resolving payment issues and disallowed costs.
• Leadership: Willingness to deputize for the Project Commercial Director as needed.
• Value Maximization: Keen to minimize risk and costs while maximizing value through cost checking and analysis.
• Industry Experience: Broad experience across various sectors in commercial positions with main contracting organizations.

• Proven track record in commercial management for major construction projects.
• Strong client-facing experience with exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
• Expert understanding of contract law, procurement, and financial management.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide commercial insights.
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field.
• Familiarity with NEC contracts and prior experience in CM or PM roles within the construction industry.
