Ambassador Health Omaha LTC Acute Hospital is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. On our Pulmonary Unit, the LPN helps to fulfill the care requirements of our patients. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the successful candidate will work within their entire scope of practice. The LPN will be fully accountable for ensuring that the utmost in competent care and safety is consistently delivered to all residents. This opportunity awaits a motivated and ambitious professional with assisted living experience.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsibilities
Direct and monitor the day-to-day functions of the professional and nonprofessional staff with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required completing necessary paperwork per facility policy· Complete and file required record keeping forms/charts upon the resident’s admission, transfer, and/or discharge· Encourage attending physicians to review treatment plans, record and sign their orders, progress notes, etc. in accordance with established policies. · Receive telephone orders from physicians and record on the Physicians’ Order Form. Perform routine charting duties as required and in accordance with established charting and documentation policies and procedures to include chart checks
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) skills
· 1+ years’ nursing experience
· CPR certification
· Current LPN license in the state of Nebraska with IV Certification
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
