On-Site What You Will Do:
Design, build, and maintain enterprise Power BI semantic models serving as reliable analytical foundations Develop and implement data modeling strategies utilizing dimensional modeling, star schemas, and standardization of business metrics Optimize DAX measures, model relationships, and implement best practices in query performance and maintainability Tune incremental refresh, query plans, and aggregations to support large-scale, enterprise datasets Collaborate with Data Engineering to ensure seamless data flow and model performance upstream Establish and enforce Power BI best practices, including security (RLS), dataset management, and naming conventions Enable self-service analytics through well-documented, governed semantic models that simplify reporting Foster a culture of continuous learning by delivering training certification and community sharing on Power BI and analytics best practices Provide expert consulting and oversight to analytics teams utilizing Power BI across the organization What You Will Need to Be Successful:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, analytics, or equivalent professional experience 3 to 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, BI engineering, or semantic data modeling Advanced Power BI expertise including semantic model design, DAX performance tuning, Power Query (M), and rowlevel security Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling concepts such as fact tables, dimensions, and star schemas Proven ability to optimize Power BI performance through efficient query design, refresh strategies, and scalable models Proficiency in SQL and experience working with analytical data platforms or data warehouses Experience with Power BI companion tools and deployment workflows including Tabular Editor, DAX Studio, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Exposure to cloud data platforms or lakehouse architectures such as Databricks, Snowflake, or BigQuery Familiarity with CI/CD concepts, environment promotion, and enterprise BI governance practices Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts and adapt to evolving BI technologies Benefits Overview:
