JOB TITLE:
Junior Software & Database Developer
REPORTS TO:
IT Development Manager/Lead
SUMMARY:
The Junior Software & Database Developer supports the development, maintenance, and documentation of software applications and databases. The role focuses on learning and applying development practices using
C#, ASP.NET ,
JavaScript/jQuery/Kendo UI , and
Microsoft SQL Server
while gaining experience with enterprise systems, automation tools, and analytics platforms. The role also provides exposure to modernization initiatives, including the transition from
AX 2009
to
Dynamics 365
and adoption of
Power Platform technologies (Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse) .
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining software applications under senior developer guidance. Support SQL Server development tasks including writing queries, maintaining data pipelines, and participating in reporting solutions. Learn and apply best practices for application development using
.NET ,
JavaScript frameworks ,
SQL Server
and web technologies. Contribute to documentation of systems and technical processes to support maintainability. Participate in troubleshooting activities to reduce downtime and support system stability. Gain experience in modern enterprise tools including
Power Apps ,
Power BI , and
Dataverse , supporting automation and reporting initiatives. Assist with tasks supporting the AX 2009 to D365 migration effort. Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Foundational knowledge of software development concepts and relational databases (SQL preferred). Strong problem solving aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies. Ability to work collaboratively within a development team and follow established standards.
