The Machine Learning Engineer for Intelligent Systems will play a vital role in designing, building, and optimizing intelligent agents powered by advanced machine learning models. This position combines hands-on engineering with a strategic vision, ensuring our AI capabilities create measurable impacts through robust agent orchestration and seamless integration into enterprise workflows. A key aspect of this role is interpreting complex business processes and transforming them into actionable frameworks for automation and optimization. Key Responsibilities Design and develop multi-agent systems aimed at process automation and intelligent decision-making.
Implement capabilities in reasoning, planning, and tool use by utilizing frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGPT, or similar.
Integrate AI agents with APIs and enterprise systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Analyze, document, and map business processes; translate process requirements into agentic frameworks and automation solutions.
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for agent-driven process improvements.
Develop, fine-tune, and deploy large language models (LLMs) and specialized ML models.
Create and manage data pipelines, embeddings, and vector databases to support agent intelligence.
Optimize models for scalability, latency, and accuracy in production environments.
Promote Responsible AI practices, including monitoring and adherence to governance standards.
Lead Agile AI Operations, encompassing backlog management, sprint planning, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, agent development, process engineering, or related roles.
Proven ability in building and deploying production-grade AI agents and ML models.
Deep expertise in at least three of the following areas: agent orchestration, ML model development, data engineering, API integration, process engineering, Responsible AI.
Strong programming skills in Python; proficient in ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and agent orchestration tools.
Experience with business process analysis, mapping, and workflow automation.
Familiarity with prompt engineering and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate).
Able to thrive in a matrix environment and build strong relationships across functional groups (e.g., IT, business, UX) to achieve shared goals.
Expertise in Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe), including AI backlog management and team metrics.
Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills, capable of influencing stakeholders with sound business judgment.
Location: This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing up to two days of remote work per week and three days in our Bridgewater, NJ corporate office. Travel: 10% All qualified applicants will be considered for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status. For U.S. locations requiring compensation disclosure, the starting pay for this role ranges from $165,000 to $190,000 based on experience and qualifications. U.S.-based employees may be eligible for incentives and benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, tuition reimbursement for select degrees, company holidays, and well-being benefits.
