This exciting project involves designing and building a new 15GWh lithium-ion battery facility, along with ancillary buildings and site-wide external works.

This is a backshift position, working from late afternoon into the evening, Monday to Friday. As the Chief Engineer, you will:

• Lead a dynamic team of engineers, works staff, and subcontractors to deliver the project with the utmost safety and performance standards.
• Ensure technical compliance with contract documents, specifications, and drawings.
• Monitor the project program, assessing risks and opportunities daily across design, procurement, and construction activities.
• Develop and implement Temporary Works proposals.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with the client team.

We’re looking for a candidate who embodies:

• Strong leadership skills and a collaborative spirit.
• Experience in delivering multi-million-pound nuclear projects or similar regulated environments.
• Expertise in reinforced concrete construction.
• A solid understanding of building products, construction details, and relevant regulations and quality standards.
