*Data Analytics Engineer (Microsoft Fabric)*
We’re looking for a Data Analytics Engineer (Microsoft Fabric) to help shape a modern enterprise data platform at an early stage of maturity.
Working within a central Data team as part of a wider IT function, you will play a key role in designing, building, and evolving a recently deployed data platform. You’ll work with diverse datasets including manufacturing operational technology, sustainability and energy analytics, and enterprise business systems.

*The Role*
Working closely with stakeholders across multiple regions, you will help ensure data is accessible, trusted, and used effectively to support both operational and strategic decision-making.
This is a hands-on role combining data engineering with analytical delivery. There is clear opportunity to grow into greater technical ownership and influence the direction of the data platform as it matures.
*What You’ll Be Doing*
* Drive data innovation within a manufacturing environment, integrating insights from operational systems, energy data, ERP, and CRM platforms
* Design, build, and improve scalable end-to-end data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric
* Implement and maintain medallion architecture across ingestion, transformation, and presentation layers
* Develop and optimise data models and semantic layers to support reporting and analytics
* Translate business requirements into practical data solutions, supporting projects from discovery through to adoption
* Contribute to platform standards, governance, and security while maintaining data quality, reliability, and performance
* Continuously identify opportunities to improve tools, processes, and ways of working

*Key Technical Skills*
* Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Dataflows, Notebooks, Pipelines, workspace management)
* Strong SQL skills for data transformation and optimisation
* Understanding of medallion architecture and modern data engineering practices
* Experience building data models and semantic layers for reporting (Power BI or similar)
* Experience preparing and validating datasets, including cleansing and analysis
* Familiarity with enterprise systems such as ERP and CRM platforms
* Awareness of development practices (Dev/UAT/Prod, release management, change control)
* Understanding of data governance, security, and access control
* Knowledge of data quality management practices
*Desirable (Not Essential)*
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations or Customer Engagement)
* Exposure to enterprise data platforms and analytics teams
* Experience supporting BI tools such as Power BI
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
