GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY Lead and technical responsibility for the development of the foundation brake of new and existing programs; Responsible to gather customer's vehicle parameters, packaging data and engineering requirements; Responsible to evaluate new program technical requirements; Responsible to perform brake system analysis; Responsible for customer reviews and internal drawing releases; Assist with technical presentations and quote submissions; Assist with meeting customer program requirement, i.e. APQP, PPAP, etc.; Support customer and plant personnel during ramp-up of start of production and during series production throughout the life of the program; Support customer engineering problem resolution related to quality and warranty; Participate in customer test activities and vehicle builds; Participate in problem solving activities; Participate in continuous improvement; Oversee prototype build and delivery. Periodic travel required The candidate will be required to work at a fast pace with minimum supervision in a constantly changing environment.
The following are some skills and traits required for the job
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering 3 - 5 years of experience (preferred) Customer Oriented Effective Verbal and Written Communication Data Driven Detail Oriented Adaptability Team Player Time Management Prioritization Planning and Scheduling Critical Thinking Data Analysis Problem Solving Decision Making Logical Thinking Urgency
