Prequel Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a full-time, salaried opportunity with a leading financial services organization in the Pittsburgh area. This role offers a hybrid work schedule (three days onsite weekly) and a full suite of health, retirement, and paid time off benefits.

The Senior Data Engineer will join an enterprise data and analytics team responsible for building and optimizing scalable data solutions within a modern cloud-based big data environment. This role focuses on designing high-performance data pipelines, improving data quality, and supporting enterprise analytics initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using modern big data technologies Build and optimize data transformation processes using Python (PySpark) and SQL Develop and support data models for analytics and reporting (relational and dimensional/Kimball) Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, and security across the data platform Technical Qualifications
10+ years of software or data engineering experience Hands-on experience with big data platforms such as Databricks, Spark, Snowflake, or similar Strong proficiency in Python and SQL Experience working in a cloud environment (Azure preferred) Experience with data pipeline development, ETL/ELT processes, and large-scale data environments
