Position Summary
Prysmian is looking for a Logistics Specialist to join its dynamic team. Reporting to the department manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for all activities related to shipping, receiving, and tracking raw materials. They will play a key role in preparing the documents required for shipments and in coordinating daily logistics operations.
Working closely with internal teams and external carriers, the incumbent will ensure smooth execution of operations, in compliance with company requirements and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities :

Prepare all required documents for shipments.

Ensure adherence to the receiving and shipping schedule established by the supervisor.

Manage mail handling (internal distribution and outgoing mail via Canada Post, Purolator, Aeromax).

Maintain effective communication with the production and quality departments.
-
Verify and validate all incoming goods; correct discrepancies as needed.
-
Perform a monthly audit comparing physical receipts with documentation.
-
Prepare paperwork orders for production.
-
Carry out the monthly inventory of raw materials and finished goods.

Participate in traceability investigations and resolve issues related to inventory.
Key Requirements:
-
3 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
-
A technical background in logistics is required; we also accept AECs related to a logistics program.

Basic knowledge of English is required (due to part of the team being in the United States, which requires smooth communication).

Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Good computer skills with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel).

Knowledge of the SAP system (an asset).
-
Ability to adapt in a changing environment.
-
Experience in a unionized environment (an asset).
