Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide expert nursing care in a specialized Stepdown unit, delivering close patient monitoring and support within a technologically advanced hospital setting. This contract opportunity is based in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, at a regional referral center acclaimed for clinical excellence and comprehensive specialty services such as Level 1 Trauma, Intensive Care Nursery, and high-risk obstetrical care. Key Qualifications and Requirements: Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with experience in Stepdown or progressive care settings Completion of all required Pennsylvania clearances, including:
Child Abuse History Clearance Department of Human Services Fingerprinting (Service Code: 1KG756) FBI Fingerprinting Clearance (Service Code: 1KG8RJ) Pennsylvania State Police Clearance (No volunteer clearances accepted)
Candidates must submit all clearances and fingerprints prior to start date Must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive nursing assessments and interventions to patients transitioning from intensive care Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions Assist with patient education and discharge planning Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards Location Overview:Johnstown offers a vibrant community rich in cultural attractions, including the Johnstown Flood Museum and the historic Johnstown Inclined Plane.
