We are seeking an Embedded Software Development Engineer to oversee platform-specific projects related to Satellite and Ground Systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in networking and/or consumer devices using embedded Linux, Yocto, and/or Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS). You will: Lead the design of embedded software used in Amazon Leo products. Collaborate with teams across Amazon and mentor software engineers in best practices. Guide software designs from requirement gathering through to mass production. Be responsive and adaptable to high-priority issues. Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of professional software development experience. 2+ years of designing or architecting systems, focusing on reliability and scaling. 3+ years of experience in embedded firmware development. Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. 3+ years of hands-on experience with networking and/or consumer devices using embedded Linux, Yocto, and/or RTOS. Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years in full software development life cycle practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. 2+ years of experience related to manufacturing diagnostics and production phases such as Hardware Validation Testing (HVT), Engineering Validation Testing (EVT), Device Validation Testing (DVT), and Production Validation Testing (PVT).
