Job Title: Software Design Engineer
Location: Redmond, WA (Onsite)
Pay Rate Range: $77.02 - $84.71 on Experis W2 (Benefits/PTO/401k)
Hardskills:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field AND 2+ years of software development experience in Rust, Java, C, or C++ Experience applying reusable design patterns (for example, object-oriented design) and writing production-quality code
What's the Job?
Design, implement, test, and ship Windows and Linux client/OS components supporting monitoring, diagnostics, and reliability scenarios.
Translate customer and partner requirements into technical designs, prototypes, and production-ready implementations.
Build solutions for high availability, performance, security, and operability including telemetry, logging, alerting, and safe rollouts.
Develop and maintain Linux-based components used to monitor and diagnose the health of services and infrastructure.
Drive engineering best practices such as code reviews, CI/CD, and automated testing to improve quality and maintainability.
What's Needed?
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
2+ years of software development experience in Rust, Java, C, or C++.
Experience applying reusable design patterns and writing production-quality code.
Experience with kernel-level development in Windows or Linux.
Ability to translate complex requirements into effective technical solutions.
