Job Summary
Sisters Physical Therapy is a small, independently owned, *gym-based physical therapy clinic* committed to delivering high-quality, one-on-one care in a supportive, collaborative environment. We blend clinical expertise with progressive strength and movement training to help people return to meaningful, active lives.
We are seeking a motivated Physical Therapist who values individualized care, enjoys working in a gym setting, and is excited to grow alongside a locally rooted practice. This role focuses on outpatient orthopedic care while also serving a diverse population including geriatric, neurological, post-operative, and sport clients.
Our practice integrates kettlebells, barbells, and a variety of resistance-based approaches into treatment plans, so we’re looking for clinicians who are comfortable coaching movement, loading appropriately, and using exercise as a primary tool for recovery.
The position begins part-time, with a clear pathway to full-time as the schedule grows. We are also opening a standalone gym, offering optional opportunities to teach small group classes for applicants interested in expanding beyond traditional clinical care.
Role Overview
The Physical Therapist will provide personalized treatment in a true one-on-one setting, design thoughtful care plans, and empower patients through education and progressive exercise to improve mobility, confidence, and quality of life.
Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive evaluations and create individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and clinical findings
* Provide one-on-one physical therapy emphasizing exercise-based rehabilitation, functional movement, and patient education
* Confidently utilize kettlebells, barbells, and resistance training as part of treatment when appropriate
* Treat a diverse caseload including orthopedic, geriatric, neurological, post-operative, and sport populations
* Implement evidence-based interventions including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and movement retraining
* Track patient progress and adjust plans to support optimal outcomes
* Educate patients and families on recovery strategies, injury prevention, and long-term health maintenance
* Complete accurate documentation using EMR systems
* Participate in or lead small group exercise or wellness classes (optional, based on interest)
* Contribute to clinic growth through professionalism, compassionate care, and community engagement
Requirements
* Active Oregon Physical Therapist license (or ability to obtain)
* Strong foundation in exercise-based therapy and progressive rehabilitation
* Comfort working in a gym environment and coaching loaded movement
* Experience with diverse populations, including orthopedics and geriatrics
* Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
* Ability to develop individualized, goal-driven treatment plans
* Comfortable with EMR documentation
* Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered mindset
* Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a small team culture
* Interest in growing with the clinic and helping shape its future
