Introduction
We are seeking a skilled Applications Engineer 3 to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely while collaborating closely with a dynamic team of engineers and developers. The role is a contract expected to last approximately one year. Within Reliability Engineering, our goal is to deliver technical solutions to complex production issues by reducing incident and problem toil, improving detection and recovery of critical events through strong observability, and driving continuous operational improvement
Required Skills & Qualifications 5-7 years of experience in a software development role Proficient in Java 11 and newer Cloud infrastructure experience Experience building APIs and troubleshooting microservices Proficient with JavaScript on frontend (React, Angular, etc.) and backend (Node.js) components 3 - 5 years' experience in building cloud-based enterprise systems, ideally on AWS Full stack development experience preferred; backend developers will also be considered Basic understanding of DNS, Networking, Virtualization Experience with Docker and/or serverless patterns Expertise in designing and building scalable Micro Services Expertise in NoSQL datastore systems to build highly scalable solutions Experience with expertise in other modern enterprise languages (functional or other - Python, Golang, etc.) Experience with securing Restful APIs and Apps using OAuth and OpenID Connect and JWT Good understanding of async/non-blocking Restful APIs approaches and frameworks Basic understanding of most of the following: ServiceNow, Jira, Jenkins, GitHub, Splunk, Grafana or equivalent Application Performance Monitoring Tool Good communication skills (verbal and written) Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2 Degree in a relevant field AWS certification AI knowledge, familiarity with tools like Cursor and Copilol Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Support full stack development in SRE incident management solutions Collaborate with approximately four other engineers and work cross-functionally with SREs and other developers Participate in an on-call rotation every 5 weeks, with overtime paid for calls received/worked on during that period Company Benefits & Culture
