Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Carpenter Helper to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will assist skilled carpenters in completing a variety of building projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on the job site. Responsibilities

  • Assist carpenters with framing, trim carpentry, siding, door hanging, and fixture installation to ensure precise and efficient work.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and assemble materials such as wood, metal studs, drywall, and concrete forms.
  • Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to support accurate project execution.
  • Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks required for construction site activities, including rebar installation, roofing, masonry, and flooring installation.
  • Support restoration projects by handling tasks like water damage remediation, mold remediation, plastering, stucco application, and water damage restoration.
  • Assist with fabrication tasks, including metal stud framing and CNC (Computer Numerical Control) operations when needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly storing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Previous construction site experience or hands-on work in carpentry or related fields is preferred.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and basic construction equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints or schematics is highly desirable.
  • Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of various construction techniques such as metal stud framing, drywall installation, tile laying, flooring installation, and caulking.
  • Basic understanding of electrical experience, plumbing, masonry, or roofing is a plus.
