The Client is seeking a
mid-level Data Engineer
to support the Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority (PBDA). This role will lead data engineering efforts focused on
performance management, analytics, and reporting , enabling data-driven decision-making for broadband initiatives across the state.
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain
data infrastructure, models, and pipelines
supporting PBDA programs Build and manage
data schemas, workflows, and integration processes
ensuring data accuracy and consistency Develop and maintain
Power BI dashboards and reports
to track program performance, financials, and geographic coverage Write and optimize
complex SQL queries
for data extraction, transformation, and analysis Implement
data governance standards, quality controls, and documentation Integrate data from multiple sources into centralized, scalable systems Collaborate with internal teams, IT, vendors, and GIS teams for data alignment and reporting Support
federal and state reporting requirements
and compliance activities Produce
executive-level reports, dashboards, and presentations
for leadership and stakeholders Manage
data access, publishing, and lifecycle
in compliance with security policies Assist in aligning
tabular data with GIS datasets
and support mapping/reporting needs Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience with
SQL
(data extraction, transformation, optimization) Hands-on experience with
Power BI (basic to intermediate level) Solid understanding of
data modeling and data integration Experience working with
large and diverse datasets Excellent
communication and stakeholder collaboration skills Preferred Skills
Experience with
DAX optimization
in Power BI Familiarity with
GIS concepts and spatial data Knowledge of
data governance and data quality frameworks Experience with
federal or government reporting Nice to Have
Advanced
GIS expertise Advanced
Power BI administration Experience with
programming languages (e.g., Python, R)
