How You'll Add Value...
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive
Database Administrator (DBA)
to manage and optimize our critical data infrastructure, specifically focusing on our
Azenta CLIMS
environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with
Microsoft SQL Server
and a proven ability to maintain data integrity across global operations.
While primarily focused on the Microsoft stack, our environment is evolving; experience with cloud-native databases and open-source platforms is a significant advantage.
What You'll Do...
SQL Server Management:
Oversee the overall health of SQL Server instances. This includes proactive performance monitoring, indexing, and advanced
query tuning
to ensure maximum system efficiency. CLIMS Data Integrity:
Perform "hot fixing" and data cleansing within the CLIMS environment to ensure high-quality, accurate information. Global Data Synchronization:
Coordinate and manage the
database rotation
between US and China-based developer teams, ensuring seamless cross-geographic collaboration. Advanced Development:
Write complex
T-SQL queries
to generate essential CLIMS data report files for business analysis and stakeholder insights. ETL & Automation:
Design, deploy, and maintain
SSIS packages
for robust data import/export processes and automated backend maintenance tasks. Reporting Services:
Manage the
SQL Report Server (SSRS) , including the end-to-end creation and maintenance of business-critical reports. Auditing & Compliance:
Deploy and monitor
SQL Changed Data Capture (CDC)
to facilitate troubleshooting and maintain a rigorous audit trail of data modifications. Lifecycle Management:
Implement and oversee strategies for
historic data archiving and retrieval , balancing system performance with data retention compliance. What You'll Bring...
Experience:
Minimum of
5 years
of professional experience serving as a Database Administrator. Technical Core:
Expert-level command of
Microsoft SQL Server , T-SQL, SSIS, and SSRS. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). Preferred Qualifications
Multi-Platform Exposure:
Experience managing
AWS RDS ,
PostgreSQL ,
DynamoDB , or
MySQL . Linguistic Skills:
Proficiency in
Bilingual Chinese (Mandarin)
is highly desirable to assist with international data coordination. Cloud Proficiency:
Familiarity with cloud database migration and optimization strategies. Working Conditions/Schedule
This is an onsite role in S. Plainfield, NJ or Burlington, MA 4+ days per week

United States Base Compensation: $101,000.00 - $126,000.00
The posted pay range for this position is an estimate based on current market data and internal pay structure. Final compensation may vary above or below this range depending on factors such as experience, education (including licensure and certifications), qualifications, performance, and geographic location, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
