A great opportunity for an ambitious and talented individual to join our IT support & services company.
You will be working as a 1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer for desktop, server and VoIP support. There may be a future opportunity to progress into a 3rd line support role. Please note: This is an office based role with occasional client site visits.
Covering the North West of England from our offices in Oldham, we provide support & consultancy to a varied client base, covering a wide range of industries. This opportunity is for someone who has a good understanding of Microsoft desktop & server operating systems and has the drive to excel in their field.
Ideally having 2 years or more experience working in a support environment with any field work advantageous as there will be a need to visit customers.
General Skills:
* Strong communication skills both verbally (telephone and client facing) and written
* Ability to be calm and think logically when under pressure
* Good troubleshooting abilities for resolving problems
* A team player and be able to work without supervision
* Hold a full UK driving license (own transport preferred)
* Ideally have 5 GCSE Grades (C and above) or equivalent, including Maths and English
* Based within an easy commute of our offices
Technical Skills:
* Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, server and desktop
* Microsoft 365, SharePoint
* Installation and management of anti-virus products
* LAN & WAN communications including router & firewall configuration
* General working knowledge of VoIP
