AI + spatial computing . About the Role We’re looking for a
Principal Machine Learning Engineer
to serve as a foundational technical leader on our AI team. This is not a traditional ML role. You’ll be working at the frontier of
multimodal AI , solving open-ended problems that combine
language, vision, and spatial reasoning —with no established playbooks. What You’ll Do Lead architecture and technical direction for the AI platform Design and build
novel ML systems
for multimodal understanding and generation Work across
LLMs, vision models, and spatial reasoning systems Develop training pipelines, evaluation frameworks, and model-serving infrastructure Extend and adapt foundation models to a unique 3D instructional dataset Tackle research-oriented challenges from concept → production Mentor engineers and raise the bar for engineering excellence Partner with AI leadership and executive team on strategy What We’re Looking For 8+ years
in machine learning with production systems experience Deep expertise in
PyTorch (preferred)
or similar frameworks Strong experience with
LLMs, multimodal models, or deep learning architectures Ability to read research papers and translate ideas into working systems Strong software engineering skills (clean, scalable, production-ready code) Comfortable working in
ambiguous, research-heavy environments Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives U.S. Citizenship is REQUIRED
