Our dedicated Security Team vigilantly monitors every aspect to protect significant digital assets and ensure safe, trustworthy experiences for our customers and employees. As we expand globally, our team is growing, utilizing advanced tools and automation to secure the next billion crypto users. The Blockchain Security (BlockSec) team is focused on safeguarding funds and data throughout various blockchain interactions. We have a unique opportunity to empower our customers to navigate digital asset networks securely. However, this involves understanding the unique security challenges posed by emerging technologies, requiring deep expertise in blockchain. Key Responsibilities: Identify weaknesses in our crypto-security infrastructure and lead efforts to address them across various teams. Conduct security assessments, create frameworks, and model threats for blockchain protocols, smart contracts, and distributed ledger technologies. Collaborate with software engineering teams to provide input on code and architecture regarding smart contract development. Work with internal tooling teams to shape the vision and roadmap for our blockchain security tools. Spot automation opportunities within our processes, develop Proof of Concepts, and draft detailed technical requirements. Investigate impactful updates, blockchain upgrades, and cutting-edge innovations like zero-knowledge proofs and new blockchain protocols. Publish articles and give presentations on vulnerabilities, incident findings, and integration risks. Qualifications: Strong knowledge of blockchains (especially EVM chains) and a proactive approach to cryptocurrency. A minimum of 4 years in security engineering with a strong focus on blockchain and cryptographic infrastructure security. Proficient in architecture and threat modeling for security-sensitive backend crypto systems. Expertise in application security and cryptography, including knowledge of cryptographic methods used in blockchain, such as signing schemes and hash functions. Familiarity with onchain activities like blockchain explorers, fund tracing, decentralized exchanges (DEXs), NFTs, and smart contracts. Awareness of recent innovations like restaking and the different EIPs under consideration. Ability to lead and mentor team members effectively. Experience working in cross-functional roles or leading teams. Exceptional communication skills to convey complex security risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GPT Codex) and a commitment to responsible use of generative AI tools in your daily work. Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of security architecture for non-EVM-based blockchains. Deep knowledge of advanced cryptographic techniques such as zk-SNARKs and multi-party computation (MPC). Experience with data solutions like MongoDB, Snowflake, or Dune. The target annual base salary for this position is between $186,065 and $218,900 USD. Total compensation may also include equity, bonus eligibility, and comprehensive benefits.
