We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics hub in Los Angeles, California. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials within our warehouse. This includes loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory to and from storage areas, and assisting with order picking and stocking. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, possesses a valid forklift certification, and has a proven track record of safe operation. Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. You will play a critical role in maintaining efficient material flow and ensuring the integrity of our inventory. We adhere to strict safety standards and require the consistent use of appropriate PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Assist in picking, packing, and shipping operations as needed.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of forklift equipment, reporting any issues.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Ensure that loads are stable and secure before transport.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and efficiency in our logistics operations.
- Valid Forklift Operator certification required.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent attention to detail and spatial awareness.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent bending, stooping, and standing.
- Must be able to perform frequent Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
