Our dynamic company in Denver, Colorado, is looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to manage our incoming freight. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for the accurate processing of all inbound shipments, verifying quantities, inspecting for damage, and updating our inventory systems. This role requires excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure the integrity of our stock. You will collaborate with various departments and external partners, making clear communication vital. Prior experience in a similar role within logistics is preferred. We emphasize Safety and the proper use of equipment and PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify all incoming shipments against purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Inspect goods for any damage or discrepancies and report them immediately.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to resolve any issues with shipments.
- Prepare received goods for stocking or distribution.
- Maintain a clean and orderly receiving area.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety protocols and warehouse procedures.
- Ensure correct usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with physical counting and occasional Lifting of received items.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the warehouse logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar inventory-focused role.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and data entry.
- Strong organizational abilities and excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of Safety standards in a warehouse environment.
- Capability to handle moderate Lifting.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Commitment to wearing and maintaining PPE.
