We have an opening for a Distribution Center Associate in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in managing the efficient flow of goods within our distribution network. Your responsibilities will include receiving and inspecting inbound merchandise, organizing inventory with precision, accurately picking and packing customer orders, and preparing items for shipment. Prior experience in a distribution center or warehouse setting, particularly with inventory management systems, would be advantageous. Mandatory requirements include the consistent use of appropriate PPE and strict adherence to all safety regulations. Primary duties include:
- Accurately receiving and checking incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Storing merchandise in designated locations, ensuring optimal space utilization.
- Retrieving items from inventory to fulfill customer orders efficiently.
- Packing orders with care to prevent damage during transit.
- Coordinating and preparing shipments for dispatch to customers or other facilities.
- Conducting regular inventory counts and participating in stocktaking activities.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
- Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Collaborating effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
- Assisting with other logistics and warehouse tasks as assigned.
This role requires significant physical exertion, including frequent Lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds. A thorough understanding of logistics operations and warehouse management best practices is beneficial. We prioritize a safe, efficient, and positive work environment for all our associates.
