Join our fast-paced warehouse environment as a Receiving Clerk in Madison, Wisconsin. You will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring all items are accurately logged, inspected, and stored appropriately. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks, verifying contents against shipping documents.
- Inspect all received goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues promptly.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Stage received products for put-away by other warehouse staff.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe receiving area.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and wear required PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory control tasks and reconciliation.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding received goods.
- Properly tag and identify all incoming materials.
- Understand and adhere to lifting guidelines and ergonomic practices.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations is advantageous.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of logistics workflows.
