We are looking for an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Portland, Oregon. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse management, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of logistics operations. You will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, managing staff, optimizing workflow, and ensuring the highest standards of productivity and Safety. This role is critical to maintaining the efficiency and success of our distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer service.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and OSHA standards.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment for all employees.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, and ensure staff is properly trained.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics and supply chain management.
- Implement and enforce strict adherence to wearing appropriate PPE.
- Monitor and manage team's performance related to Lifting heavy items and other physical tasks.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse supervision or management. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to train and motivate a team. Proficient in inventory control and order fulfillment processes. Commitment to maintaining a high level of Safety and efficiency. Must be able to handle and oversee tasks involving significant Lifting and physical exertion. Experience with various aspects of Logistics is essential.
