Join our growing team as a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Boise, Idaho! In this vital role, you will manage the inbound and outbound flow of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all shipping and receiving activities. You will be responsible for inspecting incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and preparing outgoing shipments for delivery. This position is key to our logistics network, requiring a keen eye for detail and a commitment to operational excellence. You will work closely with various departments to ensure timely and accurate product movement. Your adherence to safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. The ability to handle Lifting and manage documentation accurately will be essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming merchandise for damage or discrepancies.
- Verify packing slips against purchase orders and document any variances.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers and trucking companies for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Ensure all shipping and receiving areas are clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting, up to 30 lbs.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to guidelines.
