Job Summary:
Our Atlanta, Georgia facility is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout our distribution center. This role is critical to our logistics chain, ensuring timely and accurate handling of inventory. You will operate various types of forklifts to transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items as directed. A strong commitment to safety, adherence to operational procedures, and a proactive approach to maintaining equipment are essential. This position requires a certified and skilled individual who can manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment. We value teamwork and a dedication to operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, and unstack inventory.
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and security of goods.
  • Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
  • Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and location.
  • Follow all safety protocols and warehouse procedures.
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as picking, packing, or general labor.
  • Ensure the work area is clean and organized, free from obstructions.

Requirements:
  • Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and coordination.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and proper lifting techniques.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Must wear appropriate PPE at all times.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
