Are you an energetic individual looking for a challenging role in the warehouse industry? We are hiring an Order Picker for our busy facility in Tampa, Florida. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves according to customer orders. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will utilize a scanner or pick sheet to locate and collect products, ensuring the correct items and quantities are selected. Accuracy is paramount in this role to prevent errors and ensure customer satisfaction. Proper Lifting techniques are essential, and you will be trained on safe handling of various items. We prioritize a safe working environment, and adherence to all Safety protocols, including the use of designated PPE , is mandatory. This is a key position within our Logistics operations, contributing directly to the success of our fulfillment process. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated locations within the warehouse.
- Verify product codes and quantities against pick lists or scanner data.
- Stage picked items for consolidation and further processing.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to supervisors immediately.
- Operate pallet jacks or other equipment as needed.
- Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure correct use of all required PPE .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners is desirable.
- Must be able to perform consistent and accurate Lifting of up to 40 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and willingness to wear PPE .
- Understanding of basic Logistics principles is beneficial.
