We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your duties will include loading and unloading materials from trucks, trailers, and other transport vehicles, as well as transferring products between different areas of the warehouse. This position requires a high level of safety consciousness, precision, and efficiency. You will be a critical part of our supply chain operations, ensuring the smooth and safe handling of goods. Maintaining a safe working environment is paramount, and adherence to all safety regulations is strictly enforced. We provide ongoing training and support to ensure you remain at the forefront of logistics best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload products from trucks and shipping containers.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Accurately stack and store materials according to established guidelines.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklift equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Follow all safety procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and logistics.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must wear appropriate PPE.
- Physical stamina to perform the duties of the job.
- Must be able to handle lifting up to 60 lbs.
