We are looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in San Francisco, California. This role is critical for managing the inbound flow of goods into our warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving all incoming shipments, accurately checking manifests against delivered goods, inspecting items for damage or discrepancies, and properly documenting all received items. You will be the first point of contact for many deliveries, ensuring that everything entering our facility is accounted for and handled correctly. Success in this role requires exceptional organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining accurate records. You will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our inventory and supporting the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. We foster a safe work environment and provide ongoing training.
Responsibilities:
- Accept deliveries and verify quantities and product codes against purchase orders/invoices.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage, shortages, or defects.
- Document all receiving activities accurately in the inventory management system.
- Generate and process receiving reports.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Stage incoming goods for put-away by other warehouse staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with carriers to resolve delivery issues.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a related warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software.
- Excellent data entry and record-keeping skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Willingness to wear appropriate PPE.
- Capacity to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain documentation.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.
