Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from shelves based on order details using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify product codes, quantities, and condition of items selected.
- Pack items securely into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring product protection.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure order accuracy and completeness before shipping.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all warehouse policies.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock replenishment activities as needed.
- Practice safe lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily picking and packing targets.
- Report any issues or discrepancies to a supervisor promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and product labels.
- Proficiency with RF scanners is preferred.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for the duration of the shift.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of warehouse safety best practices.
