Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to customer orders or picking lists.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Use scanning equipment to track picked items.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Report any discrepancies or out-of-stock items to a supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Operate manual pallet jacks or other equipment as needed.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
- Practice safe lifting techniques when handling packages.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily order fulfillment goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand picking lists and product labels.
- Proficiency with hand-held scanning devices is a plus.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices.
