Our Atlanta, Georgia **Logistics** hub is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team. The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and store materials within the warehouse. This role is critical for maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring operational efficiency. A strong emphasis on **Safety**, precision, and reliability is expected.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move pallets and materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers safely and efficiently.
- Store materials in designated locations within the warehouse, maintaining organization.
- Transport materials to and from production, shipping, and receiving areas.
- Conduct daily inspections of the forklift, ensuring it is in safe working order and reporting any issues.
- Adhere strictly to all **Safety** regulations and company policies, including the proper use of **PPE**.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
- Understand and implement safe **Lifting** and handling procedures for various types of materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure smooth **Logistics** operations.
Must possess a valid forklift operator certification. Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment is required. Strong understanding of **Logistics** operations and warehouse procedures. Ability to perform **Lifting** and maneuvering of heavy loads safely. A strong commitment to **Safety** and adherence to all **PPE** guidelines is mandatory. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be reliable and punctual.
