Our state-of-the-art Distribution Center in Atlanta, Georgia is looking for a motivated Distribution Center Associate to contribute to our efficient logistics network. This position is critical for ensuring that our products reach customers accurately and on time. Your responsibilities will span across various warehouse functions, including receiving inbound stock, meticulously organizing inventory, accurately fulfilling customer orders, and preparing shipments for departure. You will be instrumental in unloading trucks, conducting thorough inspections of incoming goods, and managing the put-away process within the facility. For outbound orders, you will be tasked with picking the correct items, ensuring they are packed safely and efficiently, and labeling them for transit. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining a secure and orderly work environment, adhering strictly to all established safety procedures. This includes the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and the application of safe lifting techniques. The successful candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, the ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced setting, and a commitment to teamwork. Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is beneficial. We are committed to fostering a safe and productive workplace.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify inbound shipments, checking for accuracy and damage.
- Stock merchandise in appropriate warehouse locations.
- Accurately pick products based on customer orders.
- Pack orders securely for shipping, ensuring product protection.
- Operate material handling equipment as needed (e.g., pallet jacks).
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards.
- Follow all safety policies, including proper use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory control initiatives.
- Practice safe lifting and material handling techniques.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capacity to work efficiently in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to procedures.
