We are looking for a skilled Shipping & Receiving Associate to manage inbound and outbound shipments at our Columbus, Ohio location. This role is central to our logistics chain, ensuring that all goods are processed correctly, stored efficiently, and dispatched on time. The ideal candidate will have experience with shipping documentation, inventory management, and operating warehouse equipment. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damages and discrepancies.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Accurately document all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packing, labeling, and staging.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through organized storage and regular cycle counts.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company logistics policies.
- Adhere to strict safety standards, utilizing appropriate PPE at all times.
- Keep the shipping and receiving areas clean and organized.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Logistics or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and managing inventory systems.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations and supply chain management.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Physical ability to handle frequent lifting of up to 50-75 pounds.
- Commitment to workplace safety and knowledge of PPE requirements.
