We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, managing staff, and ensuring productivity, quality, and safety standards are met. Your leadership will drive efficiency in our logistics and supply chain activities. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively. You will manage inventory accuracy, optimize workflow, and ensure efficient shipping and receiving processes. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems, safety protocols, and best practices in logistics is essential. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance.
- Direct and manage warehouse staff, providing training, motivation, and performance evaluations.
- Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring timely and safe dispatch.
- Develop and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and the correct use of PPE.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency.
- Manage relationships with carriers and suppliers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse operations.
- Ensure all team members understand their roles and responsibilities within the broader logistics network.
- Support occasional Lifting tasks if needed to manage team workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or management role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- In-depth knowledge of logistics, supply chain operations, and inventory management.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and experience implementing safety programs, including PPE usage.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Capable of occasional moderate Lifting.
- Experience in a fast-paced distribution environment.
