Our growing logistics company in Houston, Texas, is looking for a motivated Warehouse Associate to join our team. This role is fundamental to the efficient operation of our distribution center, involving a variety of tasks related to receiving, storing, picking, and shipping products. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for handling goods with care, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure will be key to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment.
- Receive and unload incoming inventory, verifying quantities against purchase orders.
- Store products in designated locations, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist in maintaining stock accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Adhere to strict company policies regarding safety and security.
- Utilize provided PPE to ensure personal safety.
- Must be comfortable with manual Lifting of items up to 60 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Commitment to adhering to safety procedures and wearing appropriate PPE.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
