We are seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in St. Louis, Missouri. This critical role involves the movement, storage, and tracking of materials throughout the warehouse. You will be responsible for operating equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to transport goods, ensuring accurate placement and inventory management. A strong focus on Safety and efficiency is paramount. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse operations, a commitment to following procedures, and the physical capability to handle the demands of the job. You will play a vital part in maintaining the flow of inventory, supporting production, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and proficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
- Move and stack materials to designated locations within the warehouse.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure operational safety.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of material movement.
- Ensure proper labeling and identification of all materials.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Receive and process incoming materials, verifying quantities and conditions.
- Ability to perform consistent Lifting of heavy materials, often exceeding 50 pounds.
- Understand and support all aspects of the logistics operation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification or the ability to obtain one.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles.
- Ability to operate various types of warehouse equipment.
- Physical stamina and ability to handle demanding tasks, including significant Lifting.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent attention to detail.
