About the Role: Join the Monetization ML team within Twitch's Commerce organization, where we're creating intelligent systems that deliver personalized experiences to creators and viewers across various monetization products. Our team develops the ML infrastructure behind ads, commerce, and financial products—optimizing revenue and identifying fraud for millions of users in real-time. From establishing production model infrastructure to API integrations, we're continuously innovating within live streaming monetization. You will: Construct robust ML infrastructure and platforms that enhance personalized monetization experiences across Twitch's ecosystem.
Design and develop APIs to seamlessly connect ML models with current monetization services, supporting real-time and batch predictions at scale.
Collaborate with Applied Scientists to transition ML models from research to production-ready systems that effectively serve millions.
Work with product engineering teams to deliver ML-powered features that enrich experiences for both creators and viewers.
Create and implement thorough monitoring and operational excellence frameworks for ML model performance, ensuring reliability and quality at scale.
Develop data ingestion and processing systems that facilitate both real-time inference and batch training workflows.
Investigate and construct infrastructure to support emerging use cases, including applications of LLMs in monetization contexts.

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
At least 1 year of professional software development experience focused on building scalable systems.
Experience developing production ML infrastructure, including model deployment and monitoring systems.
Expertise in modern programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go, along with knowledge of distributed system technologies.
History of designing APIs and integrating systems to manage high-throughput, low-latency demands.
Familiarity with data processing pipelines and streaming technologies (e.g., Flink, Kafka).
Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Twitch's tech stack: Golang, Python, Apache Flink.
Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow or Conductor for managing ML pipelines.
Proficiency in AWS technologies such as ECS, DynamoDB, Lambda, SQS, and Step Functions.
Understanding of real-time ML serving systems and large-scale model deployment.
Background in fraud detection, recommendation systems, or monetization optimization.
A passion for gaming, streaming, or the Twitch platform.
