We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk for our Boise, Idaho location. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring all goods are accurately accounted for, inspected, and processed promptly. This role is critical to maintaining inventory integrity and supporting the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. You will work closely with suppliers, drivers, and internal teams to resolve any discrepancies and ensure a smooth receiving process. A strong commitment to Safety and adherence to procedures are essential. If you have excellent organizational skills and a knack for accuracy, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Inspect goods for damage and discrepancies against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Document all receiving activities in the inventory management system.
- Identify and report any shortages, overages, or damaged goods.
- Coordinate with vendors and carriers to resolve receiving issues.
- Stage received goods for put-away or direct use.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Follow all Safety procedures and guidelines for the receiving dock.
- Wear and properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with minor Lifting and movement of received goods as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a related field.
- Proficiency with inventory management software or ERP systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal staff and external partners.
- Familiarity with Safety practices in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to perform tasks involving occasional Lifting.
- Basic computer skills.
- Commitment to wearing appropriate PPE.
